Position: Civil Engineer EIT (4 positions) Location: Greenville, SC (On-site, No Remote) Overview Site Design Inc. is seeking Civil Engineer EITs to join their growing team in Greenville, SC. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on providing engineering support for civil design, stormwater management, and project planning. The role will involve working alongside senior engineering staff to support the execution of civil projects. Due to an increasing workload and backlog of work, this investment in growth will increase billable hours and enhance team capabilities. Key Responsibilities - Civil Engineering Design & Planning: Assist with civil design work, including site grading, utility design, stormwater management, and road/highway design.
- Stormwater Management: Support hydrology and hydraulic modeling for stormwater management and environmental systems.
- Construction & Permitting: Develop civil plan sheet sets for construction, assist with permitting, and ensure compliance with design and environmental standards.
- On-Site Inspections: Observe the installation and testing of infrastructure systems such as sewer and water systems, stormwater systems, and proof rolls.
- Calculations & Reports: Perform hydraulic and pipe design calculations and prepare technical reports, drainage studies, and project narratives.
- Collaboration & Learning: Collaborate with senior engineers, absorb technical knowledge, and address redline comments during design reviews.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or the ability to obtain EIT/FE certification within 6 months.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Civil Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools (HydroCAD, WaterCAD, SEDCAD, IDEAL).
- Experience in stormwater management, hydraulic design, and stormwater pollution prevention (SWPPP).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance for civil projects.
Desired Skills (Pluses) - Experience with additional software such as MicroStation and GIS tools.
- Certifications such as CEPSCI (Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector) are a plus.
- Familiarity with geotechnical considerations (soil mechanics, foundation design).
- Knowledge of construction materials and construction management.
Work Environment - On-Site Role: This position requires a full-time, on-site presence at Site Design Inc. in Greenville, SC. Remote work is not available.
